Greg’s teaching methods are based on the extensive work he’s done over the past 23 years, including more than 4,200 in-person workshops, conferences, and school visits, 2,500 Zoom workshops, and 300 student lessons with more than 2 million students, worldwide. In just one math-packed day, we will cover:
Place Value & Base 10 Thinking. How can daily subitizing routines be used to build a better understanding of place value? What does Base 10 thinking look like at each grade level? How can we teach place value in the younger grades so rounding, decimals, and converting units of measure are easier in the upper grades?
Operations & Number Sense. Can we teach addition and subtraction in a way that does a much better job preparing students for multiplication, division, and fractions? Can we teach multiplication & division in a way that better prepares students for ratios, rates, and proportional reasoning?
Reasoning & Word Problems. Can we use word problems to provide context for operations while building measurement, data, and graphing skills? Can we use reasoning problems to apply and assess student understanding, differentiate instruction, and provide enrichment for all students?
Math Talks & Assessment. Can we lead math talks that are way more engaging, inclusive, equitable, and effective? Can we use carefully-crafted, problems-of-the-day to deepen understanding, connect concepts, and provide daily, year-long test prep for year-end testing?

Can I pay with a credit card? Yes, we accept onsite credit card payments. After completing your registration information, you will be taken to the payments page where you can complete your registration using your credit card. You will receive an email once your payment has been processed.
Can I register using a purchase order? Of course! We know that many districts will only allow workshop registration using purchase orders. Once you complete your registration information, you will be taken to a page to complete your payment information. Your registration is not confirmed until you enter your purchase order information or complete purchase with credit card. If you do not have a PO # at the time of registration, enter "email" in the PO # field and send us an email at contact@tangmath.com to confirm your registration. You can email, fax or mail your PO to the information below. Payment is preferred prior to the event.
When is my payment due? Payments are due prior to the event date.
Do you offer group discounts? For our 2024 Fall PD we are offering the following group discounts:

When will the teachers receive confirmation emails? Confirmation will be sent to the email address that completed the registration automatically. This will be the only initial confirmation received by your group.
Each attendee will receive a confirmation email 4-7 days before the event.
