Divide by 2-Digit Divisors using Number Bonds 5-26

Transition from concrete area models, to pictorial number bonds. What's 408÷17? Think in units of 10 and 100. 40 tens doesn't divide easily by 17, but 34 tens, or 340, does. 408 = 340+68, so 408÷17 = (340+68) ÷ 17 = (340÷17) + (68÷17) = 20+4 = 24. Find and add partial quotients to get the total quotient.
