Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains how Tang Math memberships are billed, renewed, changed, cancelled and refunded. It is part of our Terms of Use. "We", "us" and "our" mean Tang Math LLC.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers Families and Classroom memberships bought online at tangmath.com with a card. School and district purchases made through a quote and purchase order are covered by section 11 and by the terms on the quote and invoice.

2. Plans and prices

Families

Classroom

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added where it applies and is shown at checkout before you pay. Your parent or teacher account is always included.

3. Families free trial

Every Families plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Classroom memberships don't include a trial.

4. Automatic renewal

Memberships are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period — every month for monthly plans and every year for annual plans — and are charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel.

Before an annual membership renews, we email you a reminder with the renewal date and amount, so you have time to cancel if you no longer want it.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, online, with no cancellation fee:

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again. Apart from the 30-day guarantee below, we do not give partial refunds for the unused part of a period.

6. 30-day money-back guarantee

If Tang Math isn't right for you, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of the first payment for a new membership, whether monthly or annual. For a Families plan with a free trial, the first payment is the one made when the trial ends.

Outside the guarantee, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund. We may still consider a refund in unusual circumstances, at our discretion.

7. Changing plans

Families

You can switch between One Child and Up to 10 Children, or between monthly and annual billing, at any time from Manage billing.

Classroom

To add students to a Classroom membership, email contact@tangmath.com. Added students are charged for the rest of your current year and renew with your membership.

8. Failed payments

If a payment doesn't go through, we retry it automatically over about two weeks and email you so you can update your card. Your access continues during that time.

If the payment still can't be collected, the membership is cancelled and access to paid features ends. Your account, students and their progress are kept, subject to our Privacy Policy, and are there again if you subscribe again.

9. Promotion and affiliate codes

10. Taxes

Sales tax is calculated at checkout from your billing address. Card purchases made by individuals are generally not tax-exempt. If your school or district is tax-exempt, please request a quote and send your exemption certificate with your purchase order.

11. School and district purchases

Purchases made through a quote and purchase order are invoiced. Payment terms, start dates, and any cancellation or refund terms are those stated on your quote and invoice. Unless the quote says otherwise, invoices are due within 30 days.

12. Price changes

We may change our prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your membership, so you can cancel before it takes effect.

13. Disputed charges

If you don't recognize a charge or think it is wrong, please contact us first — we can usually fix it quickly. While a charge is disputed with your bank, we may pause access to the membership it paid for.
